Welcome one and all!!! My name is Jeremy Kieffer, Principle owner and operator of River City Masonry Contractors of Dubuque, IA.
I was born into the masonry trade in 1980. Ever since the time I could stand on my two feet I have been in the field doing what my family does best, Masonry Construction. My grandfather G.P Kieffer was once a major union mason contractor in the Dubuque tri-state area in the 1950's through the 1990's Until he was diagnosed with silica poisoning which ultimately ended his career and his life. My entire family for 3 generations is,was, or has been involved in a vast majority of the masonry buildings in the Dubuque tri-state area. To this very day in this lean market we strive to keep the family legacy alive, and we are doing quite well at it despite the low volume of new construction starts.
I have gathered my skill set from a wide range of projects, people and experiences over my years in this trade. From small brick mailboxes and fireplaces to multistory high rise beach front condos in the Gulf South, to working on military installations throughout the southern states and the North American Canadian border. Traveling the map and working as a Journeyman on job-sites in different regions of the united states has made an impact on me as a 3rd generation mason, and I carry that with me to this day. This industry is as old as human civilization and is forever evolving with new materials and specifications which i have worked hands on with for many years.
With all this know how meshed in my system, I have over the years building up this business taught a lot of the tricks of the trade I have learned to my key men on our team. We do keep a simple efficient crew but also collaborate with skilled tradesman to strengthen our manpower as needed per scheduling.
